Welcome to our lab at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.

We work on fundamental and applied problems. Our present focus is on:

  1. Thermal and ultrasonic nondestructive evaluation

  2. Materials and metamaterials for acoustic and electromagnetics 

  3. Instrumentation using computer vision and soft robots

  4. Multifunctional (Packaging, EM shielding, & Acoustic shielding) biodegradable materials
